Peru challenge

Machu Picchu

The National Blind Children’s Society is appealing for adventurous people to join its challenging expedition on Peru’s Inca Trail to mark our 15th birthday.

The trek, which takes place over 10 days, will be co-ordinated by NBCS and sponsorship will be sought to help with the costs. A detailed information pack with details of possible dates is available from William Morris at NBCS on 01278 764780, mobile 07854 332017 or email william.morris@nbcs.org.uk.

This exciting project is an opportunity to visit the stunning monuments to one of the world’s great civilisations while helping NBCS provide essential support for the estimated 24,000 children and young people in the UK who are blind or visually impaired.

The itinerary includes visits to the ancient capital of Cusco and the world-famous ‘Lost City of the Incas’, Machu Picchu. In between there is a chance to see how the modern Andeans live.
